Norton Wisdom, a “performance painter” will perform live on-stage, spontaneously creating breathtaking images inspired by the live music being played.  Having worked alongside esteemed musicians such as Bernard Fowler and Dave Navarro, Norton’s synergetic performances have been wildly received among international audiences, including those at the Winter Olympics in 2002 in Salt Lake and the premiere of Cirque Du Soleil in Las Vegas.  Norton’s inspired artwork is currently featured at galleries across the world, including the Galleria Carla in Munich and the University Art Museum in Berkeley, CA.

A participant of DiningOutforLifeLA, Little Door’s theme of the night is, “Eat. Drink. Be an Angel.”  25% of all sales will benefit Project Angel Food, a nonprofit which provides 10,000 meals every week to men, women and children struggling from HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Z-CoiL® Inventor Al Gallegos

Z-CoiL® Freedom

Taos Strap Z-CoiLs

Santa Fe, NM, April 28, 2009 – In the early 1980s, Alvaro Z. Gallegos ran an average of seven miles a day. He suffered all the typical runner injuries — heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, knee trouble, hip pain, and back pain. Although he owned a shoe store at the time and had access to all types of running shoes, he was unable to find a shoe that eased his pain: Enter Z-CoiL shoes.

Realizing that the source of his pain was due to impact, Al reasoned that putting a “shock-absorber” in the heel of his shoe would reduce the force of impact. And, as an added benefit, the spring would provide a form of energy in return, allowing Al to run faster and farther.

Now at seventy-eight years of age, Al is still running but only with great ease in his Z-CoiL shoes. What started off as a novelty has become a phenomenon as Z-CoiL shoes have been on the market for 14 years and is now a multi-million dollar business. The high profile celebrities wearing the shoes include: Helena Bonham Carter, Dustin Hoffman, Robert DeNiro, The Google Founders, Margaret Cho, and many more.

Now, people will have the opportunity to meet Z-CoiL Inventor Al Gallegos in the Kansas City area and see what the latest craze is all about!

The new limited edition Z-Trek Z-CoiL shoes will be unveiled on May 14th and available until supplies last.
