Extended Hours for ICE, Santa Monica’s Outdoor Ice Skating Rink

Downtown Santa Monica’s Outdoor Ice Skating Rink,
ICE at Santa Monica, Extends the Hours to Midnight
for the Holiday Season

Santa Monica, CA, Dec. 23, 2009 – ICE at Santa Monica, Downtown Santa Monica’s premiere outdoor skating rink, has extended their hours to midnight effective immediately until January 2, 2010.

ICE at Santa Monica boasts 8000-square-feet of real ice and a 400-square-foot for children aged six and under. ICE is the perfect choice for a family outing or memorable night out.

Located less than two blocks from the Third Street Promenade at Arizona and 5th Street in the heart of Santa Monica, ICE opened October 27, 2009 and will continue to run through January 31, 2010. The rink’s new hours will be daily from 10am to midnight, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day through January 2, 2010. After that date, the rink’s hours will return to 10:00 a.m-10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thusday and 10:00 a.m. – midnight on Fridays and Saturdays until January 31, 2010.

Admission to ICE is $10 and includes rental skates. Both arenas offer skating lessons, season passes and special event options for birthday or holiday parties. For questions or group bookings, please contact the rink manager at (310) 496-9880.

The rink is periodically cleared for short periods to groom the ice. If raining, the rink will remain open in light rain or drizzle conditions, closing only for heavy downpours.
